University of West Georgia Wins Award for Facilities Management Excellence and Selects AssetWorks’ Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
(Wayne, PA – August 17, 2009) AssetWorks, a leading provider of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software solutions, announced that it has signed a facilities management software and implementation services contract with the University of West Georgia.
Earlier this year, the University of West Georgia received the APPA Award for Excellence. APPA is the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers. The APPA Award for Excellence was developed to recognize outstanding achievements in facilities management and advance excellence in the field of educational facilities. This award is APPA’s highest institutional honor.
Located on 645 acres in Carrollton, the university is home for over 10,000 students. UWG selected AiM by AssetWorks because it provides the ability to integrate, automate, and help to improve the methods that Facilities and Grounds has employed to plan, schedule, and organize its work. The university currently manages over 2.1 million square feet of building floor space.
“The University of West Georgia has been a valued client ever since it implemented AiM’s predecessor, FacilityFocus, in the spring of 2005,” said Ken Slaughter, Senior Vice President of AssetWorks. “We congratulate them for winning this prestigious award and we are honored to provide additional service to the university as they upgrade to our web architected system.”
